GRANDMA'S BIRTHDAY

Today my grandmother is turning 76 years old and it is a big deal because she is the only grandparent that I have left. My mom is going all out and making either Picadillo or carne asada for us to eat once i come home from school. Me and my little brother plan on singing her the Mañanitas once we get home as well and even though we really didn't get her anything special, I'm sure that she will be very happy today. Although I know that the biggest present that I can give her is doing all of the house chores with out her or my mom telling me to. I love my grandmother so much. She has always be like my second mother and although she may sometimes get really angry, she is very kind and loves her grandchildren as much as she loves her own children.

When you enter the room it shines
the way you capture me with your romantic lines

I look up mesmerized not knowing what to say or do

A Blessing

In life you decide everything for yourself, you pick out everything that you want in it. There is though one aspect of life that we don't chose and that is our Family. I feel like I got a great deal. My mom is my best friend and also the person I go to when I need advice. Though I don't talk to y dad all day long the way I do with my mom I love him just as much. Plus he understand me and is always fun to talk to. I love having my little brother and baby sister because they always make my day brighter. I know the extent of the love my family has for me and the feeling mutual. Beside it they always find a way to make me laugh and I always have fun when I'm with them.
